The 2004 Buoncristiani O.P.C. is our Napa Valley proprietary red blend. The wine is comprised of about twenty small block sources from some of Napa’s most prestigious vineyards including Hyde, Stagecoach, Caldwell, and Bennett. The Buoncristiani family has crafted wine to share with friends and relatives for many years. This family tradition originated in Tuscany and was brought to the Bay Area in the 1930’s. With O.P.C. we four brothers continue this tradition of handcrafting blends that help accentuate the enjoyment of life To ensure our highest standard of quality, these vineyards are managed by Buoncristiani Family Winery or by other Napa Valley growers who adhere to our strict viticultural philosophy. The components of O.P.C. were harvested and fermented separately in small batches, then carefully blended in several phases during the second year of barrel aging. This 2004 O.P.C. was aged in French oak barrels for 20 months and bottled in July of 2006. We, the Buoncristiani brothers, take pride in performing all aspects of enology, viticulture, wine production, marketing, and package design in order to share with you a true expression of our winemaking passion.
