Wine maker notes

The 2006 vintage ofthe Catena Chardonnay combines the unique expressions of three high altitude vineyard sites. The La Piramide vineyard offers ripe tropical fruit flavors and aromas with a rich, full mouthfeel. The Domingo vineyard lends notes of lemon and grapefruit with bright acidity. The Adrianna vineyard contributes apple and pear flavors with a strong mineral component. The wine shows an intense greenish yellow color. The aromas show ripe pineapple and banana fruit flavors with notes of white stone fruits and hints of sweet spices. The mouthfeel is full yet clean, with fresh, crisp acidity.
