Domaine de Pajot Cotes de Gascogne Les Quatre Cépages 2010
It is a dry white wine from the Cotes de Gascogne. In our region of Gascogne, the four varieties of grapes are Colombard, Ugni-Blanc, Sauvignon, and Gros-Manseng. They are different and complementary; I call them my Musketeers! Why four varieties? Indeed this association enables vines to grow in stages, making them more resistant to climatic conditions and diseases; besides our work in the vineyard is easier to organize and more efficient. But above all these varieties grow perfectly in this area and each one of them lets off a specific aroma quite nice to blend. So I have blended them to make my "Quatre Cépages". The proportions for the combination vary according to the vintage as we want to obtain the aromatic elements of box, citrus and exotic fruit along with a fine refreshing sensation to the palate.
