An original cuvée created by Jean-Luc Thunevin in the 2000's. Produced from a careful selection of wines from the right bank, from properties managed or advised by Jean-Luc Thunevin.
The grapes are harvested and vinified under the constant and careful watch of our team in order to bottle one of the best Bordeaux reds.
The idea of calling this cuvée « Bad Boy » (or Mauvais Garçon) came from Robert Parler's nickname for Jean -Luc Thunevin as the American critic regularly called Chäteau Valandraud's garagiste owner « Bordeaux's black sheep » or « Saint Emilion's Bad Boy »
The comics styled label is a creation of our printer and faithful friend Eric Soulat which played a huge part in the success of this cuvée.
The lively cherry and plum fruit is laced with hints of bramble and grilled herb. Open-knit finish. Drink now.
A straightforward, adequate effort from the famous "bête-noire" Jean Luc Thunevin, the 2012 Bad Boy (his generic blend) is solidly made and straightforward, with decent fruit, spice and earth. Drink it over the next several years.
