Sourced from two excellent vineyard blocks in Lodi, these blocks are known to produce exceptional wines. The first block provided a strong backbone while the second offered more fruit forward characteristics. To further add softness, a substantial amount of Merlot from Lodi and Mendocino was blended in. Finally, a small amount of Clarksburg Petite Sirah and Lodi Malbec was added to provide more complexity and fruit flavors. Food pairings: The ultimate steak wine, we recommend a rich Hangar Steak or a Flatiron to stand up to the bold and dark flavors of this Cabernet Sauvignon. Another excellent pairing would be juicy Carne Asada with roasted spring onions and a side of pinto beans cooked with a ham hock.
